It started with one man fixing machines at sixteen. This is how it became a family business with a local team in every city we serve.
The shop years 1992 to 2013
1992
Textile machines
At sixteen, Manvinder Singh repaired the machines that made blankets and shawls. A different trade, the same instinct: find the fault, fix it properly.
1995
Arora Electronics
He joined his brothers repairing fans: days at the shop, nights still on the textile machines.
1998
Sony Enterprises
His own venture, from a rented shop in Amritsar. Fans, coolers, wiring and kitchen appliances. “This is where it began.”
2000
The first hire
The first technician joined, trained by Manvinder Singh himself.
2002
A shop of their own
He bought the shop the business had been renting, and the technician team kept growing.
2004
ACs, fridges, TVs
The work grew beyond small appliances into air conditioners, refrigerators and televisions.
2010
A support team starts
A dedicated support team, so a call didn't only reach whoever happened to be free.

A team of 15
The technician team grew to fifteen.

Online, and a bigger shop
The first website went live, and the business moved into a second, bigger shop.

Our first software
Manvinder and Ranveer Singh built a basic CRM of their own, to keep every customer and job in one place. It has been rebuilt and improved every year since, into the full system that runs Applicare today. Each new part started with a problem a customer or a technician had.
2020-21
Covid
The lockdown nearly closed the business. Only two technicians stayed on, and Manvinder Singh went back into the field himself. When it lifted, we hired, trained and moved into new cities.
2021
Applicare launches
Sony Enterprises launched Applicare as its dedicated appliance repair brand.
The last three years
From 3 cities to 30+.
Since August 2023, every repair has been recorded in our own system. These numbers come from it, as of October 2026.

We inspect first
Your technician checks the appliance at your home and explains the repair cost before any work starts.

Can't fix it? You pay only the inspection charge
If we repair it, the inspection charge is adjusted in your repair bill instead.

Genuine parts, trained technicians
We use genuine spare parts, and every technician is verified and trained before their first job.
Most repairs come with a warranty of up to 6 months on the part and the work. The exact period depends on the repair option you choose at home. Service and inspection visits don't carry a warranty.
